What are the prices of veneers?

The cost of dental veneers in Australia varies depending on how many veneers you need, the type of veneer you choose, and the dentist who fits them. Usually, composite resin veneers cost $750 per tooth, while porcelain veneers cost $1,300 to $2,500 per tooth.

Composite resin veneers are usually a more affordable alternative for customers who want to achieve the perfect smile without worrying about hefty dental bills. You can achieve a straighter and brighter smile with fewer gaps with a durable resin that should last for five years. Learn more about our composite veneer treatment process here.

What affects the price of composite veneers?

Several factors affect the price of your veneers, including the type of veneer you choose, how many you need, and the experience level of your dentist. We have outlined each factor that impacts the cost so you can better understand what you are paying for.

1. The material used

Unsurprisingly, the material you choose impacts the cost of your veneers. Composite resin is one of the cheapest materials used for veneers, allowing you to change your smile without the hefty price tag.

While the cost of $750 per tooth is more agreeable than the thousands you can pay for porcelain, you do need to consider carefully if this is the right material for you. Composite resin is thin and can be added to your teeth with minimal filing, speeding up the process. But it is not as durable as porcelain or ceramic. Composite veneers can stain over time and even chip or crack if you are not careful. It's worth considering these factors when choosing the material for your veneers.

2. How many veneers you need

One of the biggest factors that impact the cost of your veneers is how many you will need. Veneers are priced per tooth, so the more teeth you want to cover, the more your veneers will cost. When deciding how many veneers you want, consider carefully which teeth you want to cover and if they are needed.

You can lower the cost of your veneers by reducing how many you have, opting to add them only to the teeth visible when you smile. If you are unsure how many veneers you need to achieve your smile goals, one of our dental team can help. We can offer you a consultation where we will discuss your smile goals and show you how many veneers will be needed to create your new smile.

3. The dentist you choose

When looking at the cost of composite veneers, you also need to consider the dentist you are choosing. Experienced dentists will usually have higher fees, reflecting the years of experience they have spent creating perfect smiles for their customers. These higher costs can be off-putting, but it's important to remember that they are charging these costs for a reason. Do you want expert craftsmanship and teeth that perfectly suit your face? Then, you will want to work with the best and most experienced dentists.

You should also consider the location of your dentist when choosing one for your composite veneers. In areas with a higher cost of living, the price of your dentist will rise to match these costs. Something as small as driving to another town or city can see the cost drop for your veneer, without needing to sacrifice on quality.

4. Your dental insurance

Sometimes, the cost of your veneers is covered by your dental insurance, helping you to lower the cost and get your perfect smile. Before visiting us for a consultation, we recommend that you check your dental policy to see what cosmetic dentistry is included in your treatment and whether the insurance covers it in full or part of the treatment.

If you are coming to the end of your policy or looking to switch, it might be worth considering whether cosmetic dentistry is included in a future plan to help further reduce your costs.

We know how important the perfect smile is for our customers, andwe offer several payment plans and financing options that can help you lower or spread your costs while enjoying your dream smile. We can discuss these payment options over the phone (03 9042 0483), or you can book an appointment to discuss them in further detail.

5. The work required before your veneers are fitted

Finally, you need to consider whether any additional dental work is needed before your veneers are fitted, as this will increase the cost. Many customers will choose to brighten their smile before adding composite veneers, helping them to achieve a brighter smile and blending their veneers in with their natural teeth.

The cost of teeth whitening or any other dental treatment is billed separately, and the work will be carried out before your veneers are applied. You can book an appointment with one of our dentists to discuss any dental work you might want before your veneers are applied for an accurate cost.
